Our one photo from the recent Phuket trip. The trip was a bit of a flop. (Note to self, don't ever stay in Patong Beach.) One of the most infamous memories of the trip was this restaurant - the Jazztaurant. It's way up a hill - it felt like the car was going to roll over backward on the way up. Then you climb a bunch of steps and finally you arrive. It's a pretty hip looking place, until the sun sets, the lights get turned on, thousands of insects and crawlers of all shapes and sizes come out of the jungle, literally blackening the walls. Big winged ants, centipedes, moths, beetles, crickets, even larvae were tumbling off the countertops into black, writhing piles. They were everywhere, including a big winged ant in Zhanar's food. Yikes!
