We had a really nice dinner of Supermarket Sushi on friday night. Posted by Picasa

Back in the day $100 bucks could really buy something. Check out these guys who put down $100 and have had their names on the Singapore Art Museum building for almost 100 years. What a bargain. The funny thing is that the government donated $20,000 and these guys all put up a measley $100. They were the richest men in Singapore too... Notice also that the whitey's names are always first in the list. Sheesh, darn Ang Mo's. Posted by Picasa

Mr Cressman got an A+ for the day. He sat and had "quiet time" for almost an hour, reading a paper and drinking an Espresso. We decided that Mr Cressman's problem is that he is "colicky", so giving him lots of burps and keeping him on the move seems to help a lot. Posted by Picasa

Zhanar had a Latte and it came in the classic Singapore Style - a glass cafeteria mug with a brass handle. The cafe at the art museum is pretty nice. Posted by Picasa

I was making fun of the way Mom used the camera. Here is the result. Too bad you can't see me very well in the reflection because it must have been hilarious. Posted by Picasa

In this one I tried to capture a little more of the courtyard. It's in a building that was a school over 130 years ago. Pretty nice school from the looks of it. Posted by Picasa

In the Singapore art museum they have a big "I was here" sign... irresistible for the tourist. Posted by Picasa

Typical Singapore Scaffolding. I've seen buildings 10+ stories tall being built with bamboo scaffolding here. Posted by Picasa

There are lots of these. Posted by Picasa

Dim Sum counter in the food court at Wisma Atria. It's a must for visitors. Posted by Picasa

Our home decor looks a lot more ethnic when you put a flower neclace on it... Posted by Picasa

This scooter is always parked on our street, by the abandoned-looking building. I like the way it looks. Posted by Picasa

These are some shophouses over in the Chinatown area.  Posted by Picasa

A lot of perannakan houses and older buildings have cement spiral stairways going down the back. They remind me a little bit of Barcelona... but they are scary at the same time. A number of them are missing sections of stairs from deteriorating cement. Posted by Picasa

Zhanar and I had breakfast one morning in the teashop at Raffles Hotel. I love the old style tables in that place. Posted by Picasa

Alright, I confess, this guy was not in Singapore. We took this one in San Diego before we left, but I thought it was funny so I'm posting it. Posted by Picasa
